Jolie

It's Jolie's turn.
Jolie loves the camera. I've been taking her photos almost daily for almost three years.
I can't believe that  she has been in our family for almost three years already. Seems like yesterday that she entered our lives, but yet it seems as if she has been here forever.
She's spunky, full of personality, and loves singing and talking about JEsus.

 Got to love a pose.

smiles, giggles, a tender heart... facial expressions, and eye flutters she saves just for daddy...
 Sweet girl
 JOLIE
 loves
 life
and family, and the ipad  and Cinderella, and Jesus...
we are so blessed to have this Chinese-American Southern-talking princess in our lives.

God blessed us indeed with you, sweet girl.

Shek

I am updating the blog, one kid at a time. Today is Shek's turn. He is our family comedian, athlete, and all around fun guy. I told him that I wanted him to come outside so I could take his photos for a blog update. He asked what to wear, I told him to put on his favorite athletic wear and come on. He said that was easy, because he was wearing it...he proceeded to walk like a run way model until I threatened to capture that on camera.

He is wearing his Tim Tebow Jersey, A Mississippi State Cap and let's don't forget the nike socks. You can't see the nike socks in the photo, but if you were here, he'd be happy to tell you about the socks. I do believe that his socks were his favorite Christmas gift of all time.
Did I mention he is a comedian?

This is his GQ look, or JC Penney Catalog look.
 Big Smiles...and a Deep Voice

There he is....and he would say the favorite...I would say the favorite 3rd born.
The Shekster a fan of many sports and teams...
Auburn is probably his #1 favorite college team. Because you know, Dad went to school there.

He said get some action shots...so I tried to get a few.
He likes basketball, and football, but he loves Tennis.
This year, he decided he wanted a MS State cap. I think because they actually had a good season, he decided he would support his momma's almamater. I pointed out to him that he had on both Auburn and MS State attire, He says," House divided Mom."
We are not really divided. We say, War Eagle and Hail State.
But on the days that Auburn plays State
It gets loud in this house.
Shek was a good sport about having a little photo shoot for his mom. All I have to say is I need to do a post about you on the blog...and I usually get willing participants.

Zach

Over these holidays, Zach said, "I really need some updated photos for my website and facebook fan page etc. So what's a mom to do. It was the day after Christmas, I could not call a 'professional'...so we just went in to action. Karlie helped him with his outfit,
we moosed his hair...etc
We rushed over to Billy's old yard and
I took my camera
and took lots of photos.
When I grow up I want to take photos like Daniel Stancil, Lisa from Long road to China and CAM photography, and Doyle Wallace.
But in the meantime, enjoy
these  pictures. Now,  he has some new ones to update his website and facebook page.

Maybe, I'll get one of those fancy cameras soon...
and maybe a photography class when I get the camera...
 and then maybe photoshop
Then maybe, I will have arrived. laugh out loud.
Hope you have enjoyed  these photos of my oldest baby. I will be snapping some of all my kiddos today.

Christmas festivities

It was Christmas Eve...and we prepared a few of the foods for our Jesus Birthday party, and then got ready for church. I love Christmas Eve service. We decided to go to Passion City Church. Their service started at 2:30 so we got an early start, and left at noon. We stopped off at Gam and Pop's. Zach was going to drive them there and we were all going in a separate car.
girls are ready to head to church
Ready for church...
everyone posed for momma before we left and even again at gam's

our kids at gam's

When we were almost to the church, Karlie was talking about how hungry she was. I was telling her that soon we would be having our little birthday party and I then started listing the food we were going to have....when I got to the sausages, I remembered that  they were simmering on the stove. AND that I did not remember turning them off. We had been gone from home for over an hour. We were at least 40 mins away...and church had not even started...needless to say, Karl dropped us off, turned around, 'booked it' home and turned off the stove. So glad the house did
not burn down.
Gam and Pop pose by the trees at PCC
and Karlie did too...
Then we headed home, to get ready for Christmas eve birthday party for Jesus. The anticipation and excitement of that one night should be bottled up and sprinkled on everyone each day. I think Jolie had enough for all of us. She could hardly sleep.
I used the candle from the service for the cake. And I sprinkled sugar in the shape of a snowflake...it went well with what Louie Giglio preached on at the service.
Christmas eve Pjs...They loved them this year...sometimes I do good at pj pickin' sometimes not. Shek was hoping I didn't get him another set of hot pants...it was just short pants. But I got it right this time.

Christmas Morning Highlights.

Shek looking at all the gifts
 Jolie says....LOOK
Shek received lots of altheltic wear and sox. He was especially proud of his Nike socks that Gam and Pop got him...He requested those sent her an email link so she would know exactly which kind and he's over the moon about the socks...who would have 'thunk' it?
Karlie has always wanted a sock monkey so this year...she got all kinds of sock monkey stuff.
Gam got a Wild Olive tee shirt with Run the Race on the front and a scripture verse on the back...Perfect to wear when she walk/runs
 Cinderella is always a hit.

Zach didn't know what to think about this can of chunky chicken soup from Gam...especially when she said
 Open it!
It was full of Gift cards to eat at Chick fil a gift cards.

Karlie received a repurposed makeup table...that Gam and Pop fixed up...it's awesome. She's wanted one for a long time and was really surprised.
 Christmas eats...
Shek and Karl model their jersey and cap
Merry Christmas 2013...can't believe it's come and gone already.
